Détours de France

Détours de France is a playful homage and whimsical reimagining of the iconic “Tour de France” cycling tournament held annually in France by local Seattle based illustrator, Lars Larrowby. In this series of ten sequential comic illustrations, viewers follow a boy named, Emile, and his faithful goldendoodle companion, Bernard, take the “scenic route”—diverging from the traditional path of the Tour de France competition, and instead set off on a whirlwind sightseeing-tour-by-bike across the “hexagon” of mainland France.

You will be able to purchase large prints, cards and accordion comics on the Mabel Maker’s shelf, which I will be sharing with other passionate local artists and makers!
